We often see these umbrellas at golf clubs and racing events. Their biggest feature is their size; they are arguably the largest umbrellas you can hold in your hand, typically ranging from 25 to 32 inches. As more people recognize their superior quality, attractive appearance, and excellent sun and rain protection, golf umbrellas have become increasingly popular. Especially in recent years, they have become widely used as business gifts in high-end hotels, upscale clubs, and luxury residential areas.
1. Fabric
Golf umbrellas are mostly made from mid-to-high-end umbrella-specific fabrics, primarily 190 nylon silver-coated fabric and 190PG fabric. Using these fabrics results in umbrellas with a smooth surface, allowing water droplets to quickly roll off after rain. 190 nylon silver-coated fabric offers UV protection, filtering out the summer heat, and its vibrant colors are pleasing to the eye. 190PG fabric (also known as suede fabric) has a soft, high-quality feel; its simple and unpretentious design conveys a sense of stability and elegance.
2. Handle: Golf umbrella handles include EVA straight handles, plastic handles, plastic handles with rubberized finish, wooden handles, plastic-coated iron handles, and titanium-plated iron handles.
3. Ribs: In earlier years, golf umbrellas primarily used steel grooved ribs, sometimes even double grooved ribs, which were too heavy. Golf umbrella ribs are now mainly made of fiber optics, which are lightweight and less prone to breakage. A combination of short steel grooved ribs and long fiber optic ribs is also used.
4. Standard Sizes: A 25-inch straight umbrella can be called a golf umbrella. Common sizes include 27 inches x 8K, 30 inches x 8K, and 34 inches x 8K; there are also 16K/24K sizes. "K" refers to the number of ribs; 8K means 8 ribs.
